Where the Spirit of the Lord Is by Chris Tomlin, Christy and Nathan Nockels – Acoustic Cover

This was a tricky song to pull off. I had to figure out how to do the dual lead part in the chorus. It’s a great, high-energy song!

Where The Spirit Of The Lord Is

Chris Tomlin | Christy Nockels | Nathan Nockels

We know where the Spirit of the Lord is
(Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty)
We know living in Your freedom
(Living in Your freedom we see Your glory)
We know where the Spirit of the Lord is
(Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty)
We’re Yours and Yours is the kingdom
(We are Yours)
Yours is the kingdom
(Yours is the kingdom)

You are the fire through the night
You are the flame that burns inside
We need Your presence more than anything

More than just a song to sing
More than words and offerings
We need Your presence more than anything

And You’re all that we want
You’re all that we need
You’re all that we want
You’re all that we need

We know where the Spirit of the Lord is
(Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty)
We know living in Your freedom
(Living in Your freedom we see Your glory)
We know where the Spirit of the Lord is
(Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty)
We’re Yours and Yours is the kingdom
(We are Yours)
Yours is the kingdom
(Yours is the kingdom)
Yours is the kingdom
(Yours is the kingdom)

You call us closer to Your heart
Lead us Lord to where You are
We need Your presence more than anything

We know where the Spirit of the Lord is
(Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty)
We know where the Spirit of the Lord is
(Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty)

  1. Hey Ben,
This is a fun song. We’ve been doing it for a while. There are a few great “Co-Lead” songs with guy and girl parts. Definitely high-energy! What amazes me about this song is that you never really land on the 1 chord…ever! It’s all 4-5-6m. That makes it interesting.

Keep posting your songs. Great stuff man.

    Later!

    1. Thanks John – That is interesting about the chords – never thought about it. I did have a sense there was something unique about the song, though. See ya!

  2. When I found you on you tube I was amazed at your music, the feeling of the spirit of the Lord I felt in your singing. I continued to listen to christian music all day that day. I didn’t get anyting done but praising the Lord. All day into the evening the music enlightened me, brought me closer to my Savior. Thank you. I’m looking forward to keeping in touch. Julia
